The four-wheel disc brakes and suspension were overhauled during the refurbishment.The refreshed cabin houses two bucket seats upholstered in black leather, and appointments include a heater, a Corvette-branded cassette stereo, an analog clock, and lap belts.The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, while auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles. The 427ci L71 V8 was factory equipped with three double-barrel Holley carburetors, and it was modified by Dynotech Engineering of Fort Wayne, Indiana, during the 2002 refurbishment to displace 439ci. It is fitted with Speed-Pro pistons, a Cloyes double-roller timing set, and a COMP Cams camshaft, pushrods, and lifters. The radiator core support, water pump, and wiring harness were also replaced.Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission that was overhauled during the refurbishment. A Centerforce clutch assembly was utilized, and an Auburn Gear differential carrier is equipped with a Richmond Gear 3.56:1 gear set. A stainless-steel exhaust is fitted.
